While the majority of German speakers in the city of Adelaide were at least nominally Lutheran, resulting in three Lutheran congregations forming before 1920 in the city, there were German members of other religious congregations as well including traditional German ones such as Reformed German, Jewish, and Catholic, and 'English' ones such as Methodist, Presbyterian, Congregational and Anglican.
