He arrived in Adelaide from Hanover in 1851, and soon afterwards commenced business as a butcher at Glen Osmond where he continued to reside for many years. He identified himself in many ways with the progress of the place, and served for some time as a councillor for the district. He also belonged to the order of Oddfellows. | |||
In 1871 he took over the Buck's Head Hotel North-terrace, and subsequently carried on business as a butcher in Hindley-Street. Mr. Kugelmann retired some years ago, and for about seven years had been an invalid. He leaves a widow, one son (Mr. R.
