A WELLINGTON WEDDING | |||
HJGHET-VON HAHTITZSCH. On Thursday afternoon of last week a pretty wedding took place at the Kent terrace Presbyterian. Church, when Miss Adelaide Eva von liartitzsch, only daughter of Mr Otto Von Hartitzsch was married to Mr Thomas Morton Highet, son of Mr T. Highet, of Koscmeath. The ltcv. J. K. Elliott performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Percy Von Hartitzsch, looked charming in her white crepe de chine bridal gown made a la Empire, and finished with the usual wreath of orange blossoms and veil. She also curried a shower bouquet, and wore the gift of the bridegroom, a pearl and amethyst pendant. Attending her were Miss Jean. Parker and Miss Nora Tucker, both wearing cream Umpire frocks a«id hats, and carrying bouquets. The bridegroom presented them with pretty brooches. Mr Will Higlw-t. brother of the bridegroom was best man, and Mr Hugh Fraser groomsman. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at a recenbion, and tlie bride and bridegroom left for Palliser Bay, where their honeymoon is to be ppent. Mrs Higher travelled in a brown tailored costume with handsome furs and a becoming vievue rose hat.Permanent link to this item | |||
