From the Adelaide Observer, Saturday 21 December 1901:

" Mr. Henry Noltenius, an old colonist, died suddenly this morning at his residence in Bridge-street, Kensington. He retired to rest about 9 o'clock last evening in his usual robust health. About half-past .3 this morning he called his brother, who, on entering the room of deceased, found him sitting on the bed gasping for breath. Dr. Sprod was immediately summoned, but arrived only in time to witness deceased's death, which occurred within three minutes after his brother saw him. Mr. Noltenius, who was 63 years of age, came to the colony in 1843. He was for some time a partner in the firm of Messrs, Stilling and Co., merchants, and was for many year's a wine and spirit merchant. At the time of his

death he occupied the position of commercial traveller for the firm of Messrs. W. B. Rou sevell & Co. He was much esteemed by a large circle of friends, and leaves three

daughters and four sons to mourn their loss.”.
